* Sixteen games does not a proper sample size make.

Yikes. Just yikes.

* Can you guess the Bruins' top defensive forward and defensive defenseman?

Nice to see numbers that show how far certain players (Wideman, especially) have come.

* The B's will contend with a still-developing sniper this evening.

Ward said yesterday Zherdev is the one player who should give the B's defense the most trouble.

* Much hand-wringing in Ottawa.

At least they didn't can Hartsburg after 16 games. . .

  1. VERY impressed with both Wideman and especially Ference, as I thought he was dead wood for the past few seasons.

  1. Tampa Bay shouldn't have fired Torts, but that may only be my UMaine bias.

    This could be good, though, I'd love to see some southern teams relocate North, specifically to Hartford, Winnipeg or Quebec.

  1. oh man....tampa bay! what a nightmare that team has become. the only hope is that their quality players get dealt for more "immediate" solutions, and flourish elsewhere.

    also: good to see sturm and wideman's stats reflecting their impact on the ice. very cool!
