Manny Fernandez was the first goalie onto the ice for pre-game warmups, indicating he will start against Detroit tonight.

ANALYSIS: Somewhat of a surprise that Tim Thomas isn't going tonight, but you can't argue with the roll Fernandez is on: wins in his last five games and 6-0-1 in his last seven starts. Over the last seven games, Fernandez has a 2.26 GAA and a .920 save percentage. Fernandez wasn't tested much yesterday and Thomas looked a little fatigued against Buffalo.
