Thornton vs. Mayers

Shawn Thornton and Jamal Mayers dropped the gloves at 2:38 of the second period and engaged in a brief fight. Mayers scored the takedown, and the linesmen stopped the fight even though both guys looked like they wanted to continue.

Moments before the puck drop preceding the fight, Mayers dropped one of his gloves too soon.
