PITTSBURGH -- Good morning from Mellon Arena, where the Bruins will close out 2008 against the Penguins tonight at 7:30. They will be gunning for their ninth straight win.

Some tidbits from the game notes:

* David Krejci brings an eight-game scoring streak into tonight.

* Hal Gill is expected to appear in his first game tonight since Dec. 6. Gill was sidelined with a shoulder injury.

* Patrice Bergeron has not been placed on injured reserve yet.

* Jordan Staal will become the youngest player in league history to appear in 200 NHL games tonight. Staal is 20 years, 111 days old. Patrick Marleau was 20 years, 115 days old when he hit the 200-game milestone in 1999-2000.

* Brad Meier and Gord Dwyer will be the referees. Tim Nowak and Dan Schachte will be the linesmen.
