Ference on ice

Posted by Fluto Shinzawa, Globe Staff January 1, 2009 10:29 AM

Andrew Ference is on the ice with his teammates for the morning skate. This is the first time he's done so since his injury.

The skate hasn't officially started, but it's doubtful Ference will take part in the tougher drills.

UPDATE: Ference is paired with spare defenseman Matt Lashoff in the three-on-two rushes that kick off every morning skate. Ference is starting and stopping without limitations.

  1. Great news about Ference!! Hopefully he'll be back soon. He was playing the best hockey of his career when he got hut. Here's to hoping that it won't take too long before he can bring that level of play back when he returns.
