Good morning from TD Banknorth Garden, where the Bruins will face off against the second-place Capitals tonight.

Some tidbits from the game notes:

* The Bruins are 0-2 against Washington this season. They are the only two losses against Southeast Division opponents.

* With Manny Fernandez sidelined because of suspected back spasms, Tim Thomas should get the start.

* Like the Bruins, Washington brings it in the third period. The Caps have scored 57 third-period goals this season. They have scored 45 in each of the first two periods.

* Bruce Boudreau was inducted into the AHL Hall of Fame yesterday.

* Tom Kowal and Frederick L'Ecuyer will be the referees. Derek Amell and Tim Nowak will be the linesmen.
