No Lucic in practice

Posted by Fluto Shinzawa, Globe Staff January 9, 2009 12:11 PM

Milan Lucic was not present for today's practice at TD Banknorth Garden. The guess is that he will not be ready for tomorrow, meaning the Bruins will have to call up reinforcements from Providence.

  1. So what gives, Fluto? Vladimir Sobotka and Martin St. Pierre are down in PRO and Martins Karsums is still up in BOS. Without Looch the B's are still short a forward, no? Argh... damn injury/flu bug messes everything up.

  1. Teams are starting to get better. The Bruins, even with their First Place numbers must get better. Bergeron, maybe back for Playoffs? Sturm, probably not? Axelsson, Yelle...Thornton! creeping toward the Top Six!? Time to take a hard look at Brendan Shanahan.

  1. Shanny is *NOT* a good fit for this team. He's Muzz Ver. 2.0 -- Old, slow, and too far out of shape. There's a reason no other teams have grabbed him yet.
