Fight Cub (Feb. 24, 2009)

There were plenty of interesting story lines from the Bruins' 6-1 triumph over the Florida Panthers Tuesday night and while one of them wasn't the hugfest of a fight engaged upon by Chuck Kobasew and Keith Ballard, it's our due diligence to bring you the breakdown.
As always, we encourage your comments (yes, even you faithful blog visitors who want to complain about the Fight Cub series).

The expert's take
- Kevin Paul Dupont, Boston Globe: Chuck Kobasew and Keith Ballard square off in the night's only fight. Not much of a bout. More of a tug-o-war.
The not-so expert's take
- Chris Forsberg, Boston.com: Kobasew takes umbrage with Ballard coming in a little low along the boards. The most noteworthy aspect of this otherwise snooze-worthy fight is that it draws the first penalties of the game at five minutes of the third stanza. We like one commenter's suggestion that both players should have gotten delay of game penalties instead. Lot of jersey tugging before Ballard drops to his knees after a series of fruitless haymakers.
