Ryder out with fracture

Michael Ryder will not play today because of a facial fracture and is out indefinitely. Ryder was clipped by an Antoine Vermette high stick on Thursday. Ryder will be re-evaluated on Monday. Claude Julien said there is a possibility Ryder might require surgery, although Julien said the right wing's eyesight is OK.

Ryder is tied with David Krejci with 19 goals, third-most on the team behind Phil Kessel (24) and Marc Savard (20). Ryder had previously missed one game because of flu-like symptoms.

* Manny Fernandez will start today. His last action came on Jan. 8 against Ottawa.

* Aaron Ward (flu-like symptoms) will not play. Matt Hunwick will replace Ward in the lineup.

Hope Ryder's alright we need him in the line up...It didn't look good when he went down...Fernandez needs a strong start today would help trade value. As always GO B'S!!

ryder will be back end of the month and now lets get off the trading manny we need another goal for the playoffs we need a scorer we wont get 1 for manny might get a 2nd round pick if they need to trade let them trade sobo axi hunwick

big loss with ryder on the mend. hopefully he can throw a cage on and play through it. He was really playing well lately.

manny isn't going anywhere, stop with that nonsense
