Michael Ryder required multiple stitches to close a gash on the bridge of his nose and near his eye. Ryder was hit by an Antoine Vermette high stick at 14:54 of the third period.

Claude Julien said Ryder was feeling dizzy after the injury. Ryder didn't see action for the rest of the game.
