3:37 -- Hurricanes defenseman Niclas Wallin drops to ice, bleeding from head, and hurries to locker room for repairs. It appears he was struck by the puck.

4:29 -- Hurricanes defenseman Joe Corvo is hammered by Milan Lucic in the corner to Cam Ward's right. Slow to get up, he briefly joins Wallin the dressing room, and soon comes back to the bench.

13:10 -- With the Hurricanes pressuring the net, Stuart is sent off for crosschecking Patrick Eaves.

13:14 -- Only four seconds into the advantage, Tuomo Ruutu is whistled off for holding.

14:26 -- Chuck Kobasew whistled off for hooking, handing the Hurricanes a 4-on-3 manpower advantage for 44 seconds. Bruins kill it off without allowing a shot on net.

16:12 -- David Krejci scores his 20th, a shorthander, sent in on a breakaway after Bergeron gets the puck from Anton Babchuk inside Boston's defensive blueline and zips a breakout pass into the neutral zone. Bruins, 3-1.

16:40 -- Kaberle sent off for hooking.

17:12 -- Kobasew scores the second Boston power-play goal of the night, tipping in a Zdeno Chara slapper from the center slot, just inside the blue line. Kobasew's 12th of the season bumps the Boston lead to 4-1. Chara and Axelsson get the helpers.

18:34 -- Sobotka sent off for tripping.

19:09 -- Patrice Bergeron nets an easy empty-netter for the 5-1 final.

Final score: Bruins 5-1.
