With Anaheim landing Ryan Whitney for Chris Kunitz and Eric Tangardi, it's pretty much a given that either Chris Pronger or Scott Niedermayer (with the former more likely) will be shipped out prior to Wednesday's 3 p.m. deadline. In Pronger, Niedermayer, and Whitney, the Ducks now have three defensemen making $17 million total.

"Good mobile defenseman who can move the puck and make plays," Pronger said. "It seems to be something that this team really, really likes. He can play with a physical edge as well."
