WILMINGTON -- No immediate word what's up this morning with David Krejci and Phil Kessel, but both young forwards are not on the ice for the Bruins' workout, which began on time at about 11:30 a.m.

Kessel was clobbered by the Blue Jackets' Jan Hejda during Boston's 2-0 loss in Columbus last night, and could be recovering from the blow. Kessel was able to play after being hit. Following the loss, he would not comment to reporters.

We'll keep the updates coming throughout the morning and into the afternoon at the Ice Box.

In a bow to the Globe's Fluto Shinzawa -- chief chef here at the Grungy Gourmet -- I stopped at Dunkin's this morn and picked up a medium french vanilla, creme only.
