Steve Montador, kept off the ice because of flu-like symptoms today, is doubtful for tomorrow's matinee, said Claude Julien. If Montador is unable to go, Shane Hnidy would most likely get back in the lineup on the third pairing. Hnidy was a healthy scratch yesterday.

Montador has not missed a game this season.

* The Bruins worked on their transition game in practice today. Once a position of strength, Boston's defense-to-offense game has been misfiring during the slump. Julien said the Bruins have to get back to a north-south style of play.

* Since his recall, Byron Bitz had dressed for 23 straight games before being a healthy scratch last night. Bitz was one of four forwards on the fourth line today, skating with P.J. Axelsson, Stephane Yelle, and Shawn Thornton. "I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to get back in there," Bitz said. "Everyone's competitive."
