The Bruins have concluded their practice, which was far more fast-paced than yesterday's scrimmage and breakaway competition.

"I think guys in the last couple days have seemed to be executing better," said Claude Julien. "Maybe it's a turning point."

Today's practice emphasized battle drills and races for pucks. Mark Recchi, given a maintenance day yesterday, participated in the entire session.

* Julien on Martin Brodeur: "He's got some personal goals that he'd like to achieve. That makes him that much better. He's always been a character player. I think everybody knows that. He knows what's at stake tomorrow too. Certainly he'll be up for the challenge."
