BUFFALO -- Very limited day-of-game workout this morning at the HSBC Arena, where tonight the Bruins will play game No. 81 of their regular-sesaon schedule against the Sabres, with faceoff at 4 p.m.

Assistant coach Doug Houda took the ice around 9:30 a.m., joined only by veteran winger P.J. Axelsson (the team's senior citizen) and team captain Zdeno Chara in the optional workout.

The Sabres, post-season DNQs, have no morning workout scheduled.

The Bruins will fly out of here tonight and wrap up their regular-season schedule tomorrow afternoon against the Islanders in Uniondale, N.Y. The Black-and-Gold will open the playoffs (opponent either the Rangers or Habs) Thursday night at the Garden.

More updates this afternoon.
