Andrew Ference, out since April 4, should be back in uniform tonight. Ference will be a game-time decision, but it's looking like he will be a go for Game 1.

"I'm excited," said Ference. "I'm not a good spectator."

* Claude Julien used Vancouver, which scored three straight goals against Chicago last night, as a good model for the Bruins to follow. The Canucks were coming off a long layoff after sweeping St. Louis in the first round. "Everybody's wondering whether we're going to be rested or rusty," Julien said. "I think Vancouver is a great example to take. They came out and played well in the first period. I'm expecting our players to feel the same way -- that we can come out and play the way we know we can. Put all the excuses aside."

* The Hurricanes are not skating this morning.

Boston's expected lineup:

P.J. Axelsson
Marc Savard
Phil Kessel
Mark Recchi
Patrice Bergeron
Chuck Kobasew
Milan Lucic
David Krejci
Michael Ryder
Shawn Thornton
Stephane Yelle
Blake Wheeler
Zdeno Chara
Aaron Ward
Andrew Ference
Dennis Wideman
Mark Stuart
Steve Montador
Tim Thomas
Manny Fernandez
