We're just over a day away from the opening of free agency. A look at the Bruins' current salary structure indicates that the organization will most likely not be chasing any big-time free agents tomorrow.

* Phil Kessel and Byron Bitz will become restricted free agents tomorrow.

* Mark Recchi, P.J. Axelsson, and Stephane Yelle will become unrestricted free agents.

* Peter Schaefer could be bought out, which would add $700,000 in 2009-10 and 2010-11.

ANALYSIS: The Bruins will have approximately $7.4 million under the cap ceiling while having 16 players (ones assumed to be on the 2009-10 roster) under contract. So unless the plan is to sign some free agents starting tomorrow, then clear out space over the summer, it's unlikely that the Bruins will be going on a shopping spree.
