  1. Please, no more comparisons to Joe Thornton. I am one that was glad to see him go. We don't want someone that would rather party with his brothers, get in bar fights, snipe his coach, and perform great in the regular season and exit the playoffs early. Let JoeCo be himself!

  1. Don't expect to see this kid for another 2yrs. He will complete his Sophomore year at CO, then a year in the AHL to get him used to the long schedule, unless of course, he blows them away next year in camp and he replaces Savard (contract expiring).

  1. I hope the B's can find another way to fill the gap for Savard (if they don't resign him, I think why not?). Colborne shouldn't be ready by '11-12. I hope I'm wrong, but Lucic, then Wheeler, come in before expected, how much more lucky can we get? I say let him go 3 years at UD then a year or 2 in Providence. The kids only 19, he needs time to bulk up and grow up too...

  1. JoeCo will probably be in Boston within two years. He could be in as early as the 10-11 season since the Bruins will lose Savard and he could be ready by then to play the 2nd/3rd center. I've heard really good things about his development at Denver, and he gained about 10lbs last season, hopefully he'll get a better physical game and be ready to come in and dominate before too long.

  1. Ya Eric let's hope that JoeC. dosen't turn into a Hart trophy winner or a top 5 scorer in the NHL for 7 plus sesaons. Being compared to Joe Thornton would just be horrible? idiot

  1. Ya canbruinsfan, because cherrypicking the good data and ignoring all of the bad data is a great way to make your point. idiot.

  1. Colbourne has grown so fast that he's still getting used to his size. Once he learns how to use it, combined with his talent, look out. Looking forward to seeing him in Black and Gold.

  1. I agree with comment that Joe is growing so fast he's getting accustomed to his size. I think he's a prospect and I think its crazy to project what he'll be in the NHL and WHEN. The Joe Thornton comparisons are unfair (I am GLAD to see Thornton GONE and his POS work ethic/embarassment at practice, etc). But Joe C DOES look a lot like Joe T on the ice. I'm not counting on anything from Joe C for 3 years. Give him lots of time, let him fill out into his new frame, bulk up, lets just let him develop. DO NOT RUSH.

  1. I go to the University of Denver, so I had the pleasure of watching Joe in a half-dozen or so games last season. If he's a loaf of bread, then I'd say put him back in the oven, he ain't done yet. He doesn't play like he's a big man, doesn't use his size to his advantage. Sure, he could use more muscle, but it's how he uses it that he needs to work on. Additionally, he committed some key turnovers that frustrated me. He looks like he has the skill to be great, but he needs at least two more years (one college, one AHL) if not three.
