  1. So he's not a Savard-sized Savard, he's an Axelsson-sized Bergeron? I feel we've been duped.

Not that having defensively-responsible forwards is a bad thing, but I expected more from Hamill. I wonder if he's going to become a legit offensive force in the NHL. It'll be his time to shine when Savard's on the decline and I'm hoping he's able prove what made him the No. 7 pick. Best wishes that he'll fully recover from the wrist ailment and get the touch back.

  1. He's Zach Hamill. Please let him be himself and don't shoehorn him into someone else's skates. .

I liked what I saw at camp. The kid's a good skater and has nice hands. Hopefully he does get a bit stronger under the tutelage of Whitesides and has a solid year for the Baby B's.

  1. I saw definite year-over-year improvement. He's always had the great hands..but I thought he was skating stronger and he looked a little stronger physically this summer.
He's progressing. Think we need to give him another year. I DO want to see him step up to the next level Offensively in Providence this year. That is critical.

  1. Assuming he makes the jump to Boston in 2010/11 season, and assuming Savard departs via free agency, that will leave us with 3 right handed centers. Maybe we can package Hamill, Arniel & 2010 2nd round pick to Toronto for Kaberle? Will we have any surprises (ala Lucic & Wheeler) at this years pre-season camp? Thus far doesn't sound too promising as far as immediate impact for any of these wanna-B's..

  1. Puckhead,

That's paying a hell of a lot for Kaberle, I'd consider it for Shea Weber, but not for him.

  1. I disagree B&G ... cap constraints aside, I'd do puckheads deal in a heartbeat. Kaberle has a skillset sorely missing from the B's d-corps and you're giving up 3 could-be's for a known commodity. Now the salaries don't work out assuming PK is back in the mix, but on the surface, pucks deal looks like it could be beneficial for both sides.
