Lucic's summer vacation

What's Bruins forward Milan Lucic up to this summer? Lucic joined some other heavy-hitters from the world of professional sports to promote EA Sports's fall video game lineup Monday near his home in British Columbia.

Lucic competed against tennis star Venus Williams, Orlando Magic hoopster Dwight Howard, and professional soccer player Sacha Kljestan as EA Sports showcased its 2010 games.

According to The Province of British Columbia, Howard won the multi-sport competition with the others tying for second place. The publication did note that: "Lucic was a beast at soccer, easily ripping off two powerful penalty kicks into the net." Maybe the Revolution should take note.

As for the photo above, the Vancouver Sun reports:

Karim Mendiburu, a reporter for Miami-based Spanish network Telemundo, bounded forward to volunteer to battle Lucic for the puck along the boards.

The keen broadcaster held a hockey stick for the first time in his life, gripped it backwards with his lower hand as if he was trying to win a faceoff on his backhand, and was soon lifted and deposited over the boards by Lucic.

  1. He started off slow last season, but this season Lucic is gonna be a beast. I still cant believe this kid is only 20 years old.

    Funniest thing about that pic is that Lucic is using only one hand.
