David Krejci, out the entire preseason, is expected to be in the lineup on Thursday. Krejci made it through practice today, centering Blake Wheeler and Michael Ryder, and said he's feeling good.

Marco Sturm, slowed by a groin injury, is also aiming to be ready on Thursday. Sturm skated on the No. 1 line with Marc Savard and Milan Lucic.

* All signs point to the Versus-DirecTV stalemate continuing past Thursday's season opener. Versus will carry the Boston-Washington game, meaning satellite viewers will be shut out. Jeremy Jacobs said it's not looking good and that DirecTV customers should look for alternatives if they want to watch the game.

* Vladimir Sobotka, who has made the team out of camp, was one of the happier players around the rink today. Sobotka finally brought his game against Montreal last Thursday in the Bruins' 2-1 shootout win. Sobotka barreled over a handful of Canadiens, including Jaroslav Halak in a collision that sent the mask-less goalie tumbling to the ice. "Yeah, I hit him," Sobotka said. "But after that, I think he was faking."

* Blake Wheeler wore a shield the last two games because of a cut under his right eye. Wheeler said he'll continue to wear the visor this season. "Doesn't make sense not to," Wheeler said.
