In a surprising move, the Bruins have assigned Vladimir Sobotka to Providence. The Bruins now have 21 players on the roster, with no spare forwards. If they make no other moves before tomorrow night, it guarantees that David Krejci will be in the lineup.

Sobotka had seemingly made the club out of camp as the 13th forward. The third-year pro came on strong late in the preseason, playing like he did two seasons ago as a rookie.
