The Bruins practiced at Ristuccia Arena today and, after four days off between games, will get back to work tomorrow night at home with a game against the New Jersey Devils. The Devils face the Buffalo Sabres tonight before making the pilgrammage to Boston.

According to reports out of New Jersey, goaltender Martin Brodeur is expected to be in net for both contests. Bruins' coach Claude Julien, who coached Brodeur during his time behind the Devils' bench, said Brodeur continues to be a force in the NHL.

``[The Devils] make it tough on you to score goals,'' said Julien. ``[Brodeur] is as athletic as you'll find. He's a hybrid. He's always had pretty good teams in front of him and that's helped him, not be less of a goalie than he is but it's helped him endurance wise. If you don't have to face 30 or 40 shots a night, it will help you in the long run and I think that's why he's been able to play the number of games he has. He wants to play a lot and he's got the team that allows him to play a lot in front of him ''

When the rules were changed to eliminate clutching and grabbing, Julien said it benefitted the Devils more than many other clubs because they're so positionally sound.

``When you play the way they play, it's all about positioning so you really didn't need to hook and clutch and grab,'' he said. ``It wasn't as hard for them to adapt. They just stuck with their system.''
