Bruins practice is under way at Wilmington with two noticeable absences-- including center Patrice Bergeron and Matt Hunwick, both of whom played in Saturday’s 4-3 shootout victory over Ottawa.

Bergeron was felled early in the first period when he initially appeared to roll his right ankle while killing a power play, and then took a slap shot off the leg by defenseman Filip Kuba.

Postgame, coach Claude Julien said Bergeron had not rolled an ankle but needed attention in the dressing room because of the Kuba shot.

Bergeron returned late in the period, played a shift, and performed effectively for the remainder of the nght.

Hunwick, who required an emergency spelectomy during the first round of the 2009 playoffs, also played Saturday night. He did not suffer any obvious injury.

UPDATE: Following Monday's workout, Julien said, “Both Bergeron and Hunwick were given the day off for “maintenance.”

Julien added that both will play on Wednesday, “no ifs or buts," when the Lightning will be in town.
