With the No. 1 line misfiring against Toronto and Chicago, Claude Julien will shake up the unit once more tonight, replacing Michael Ryder with Steve Begin. Marco Sturm will most likely move to the right side, while Begin serves as Marc Savard's left wing.

"Steve is a guy that works hard," Julien said. "That line could use some grit and a hard-working guy on it. We'll see how that goes. If that doesn't work, we move onto the next solution."

Begin was teammates with Savard in Calgary. Begin joked that the only time they skated together was when Savard was being punished by Greg Gilbert.

  • Dennis Wideman will play tonight. Derek Morris will not. Andy Wozniewski will most likely be the healthy scratch.
