Spectator Plaza, a free fan festival area outside Fenway Park, will open Thursday morning at 11 a.m. for fans to enjoy prior to Friday's Winter Classic.

Activities planned are interviews with former Bruins, performances by the Boston band The Zoo, hockey-themed attractions and games as well as chances to win tickets to Friday's big game.

The plaza is staged at the parking lot at Brookline and Yawkey Way. It'll be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday and again from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.
