Marc Savard, knocked out of the last eight games because of a partial MCL tear in his right knee, will return to the lineup tomorrow. Savard will center Milan Lucic and Miroslav Satan and quarterback the first power-play unit.

"He and I had some chemistry last year," Savard said of Lucic, his linemate for most of last season. "Now we've got another 81 on the other side. Hopefully that's a good thing."

Byron Bitz, absent for the last five games, is also on track to dress tomorrow.

"Slowly, we're getting back to close to a full roster," Claude Julien said. "

  • Marco Sturm (leg) made it through a full practice today. Sturm hadn't practiced for a full session since playing against San Jose on Jan. 14. Sturm will travel to Buffalo and skate tomorrow morning. Sturm is not expected to play tomorrow or on Saturday against Los Angeles. The left wing is hoping to play next week, possibly on Tuesday against Washington.
  • Steve Begin (lower-body injury) also participated fully today. Begin said he felt good, but that he didn't know whether he will play tomorrow.
