MONTREAL -- Good afternoon from the Bell Centre, where the Bruins are aiming to halt their 10-game winless streak today. With another setback, the Bruins would tie their all-time longest winless streak.

  • With only five other defensemen available, Andrew Ference should be back in the lineup today. Ference said he will go out for pregame warmups, then determine whether he's ready for action. Johnny Boychuk, struck in the face by a puck yesterday, is not on the trip, nor have the Bruins called up any reinforcements from Providence.
  • The Canadiens are coming off a 5-3 home win over Pittsburgh yesterday. Brian Gionta led the offense with two goals.
  • Brad Meier and Marc Joannette will be the referees. Jean Morin and Thor Nelson will be the linesmen.
