BUFFALO -- Good morning from HSBC Arena, where the Bruins will be seeking their second straight win tonight against the Sabres. Expect Tuukka Rask to be in goal opposite Ryan Miller.

  • The Sabres are stuck in a four-game losing streak. Effort and execution have been issues for the home club. "We'll get out of it if our desperation in the game is a little greater, our energy in the game is a little greater, and our attention to playing the system is a little better," Lindy Ruff said yesterday.
  • Buffalo has the No. 1 penalty kill in the league (86.8 percent). The Bruins have the second-best PK (86.7 percent).
  • Agitator Patrick Kaleta is out because of a bruised foot. Old friend Steve Montador is also doubtful because of a hip injury.
  • Stephen Walkom and Brad Meier will be the referees. Tony Sericolo and Mark Shewchyk will be the linesmen.
