No elbow, says Campbell

Posted by Fluto Shinzawa, Globe Staff March 8, 2010 07:31 PM

League disciplinarian Colin Campbell will continue to review Matt Cooke's hit to Marc Savard's head. Campbell is expected to make a decision on possible discipline to Cooke prior to Pittsburgh's game on Thursday.

However, based on Campbell's interview with Bob McCown and Stephen Brunt on The Fan 590 this afternoon, he did not see Cooke throw an elbow. Campbell said Cooke hit Savard with his shoulder.

Campbell addresses the incident at the 8:30 and 11:25 marks of the interview.
