Bobby Orr, in town with a number of the 1970 Bruins to celebrate the Cup-winning club tonight, acknowledges that in his day, had a Matt Cooke-type laid out one of his teammates, retribution would have turned bloody.
"Tonight, we might be put in jail," Orr said with a laugh. "Things have changed a little bit. But again, I don't think we'll see anything tonight. And I don't think we should."
Orr condemned Cooke's blind-side head shot to Marc Savard.
"In my mind, it was an illegal hit," Orr said. "Marc Savard is one of those types of players that you just don't hit like that."
