Tuukka Rask, who had made seven straight starts, will not play tonight because of an undisclosed injury. Rask is considered day-to-day. Rask practiced yesterday at Ristuccia Arena and made it through the entire session. He didn't participate in an optional morning skate today.

Tim Thomas will make his first start tonight since Feb. 2 against Washington. Matt Dalton has been recalled on an emergency basis from Reading of the ECHL.

Also, Dany Sabourin has been placed on re-entry waivers. Sabourin would have been the logical candidate for emergency recall, but Providence played in Abbotsford, British Columbia, last night.
