The Bruins, coming off last night's 3-0 dud against Pittsburgh, were given today off. They will resume work tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. at Ristuccia Arena. Earlier today, they returned Jeff Penner and Trent Whitfield to Providence. Both were emergency recalls yesterday but didn't dress.

* Last night's loss drew a 6.2 rating on NESN. It was the highest-rated regular-season Bruins game in NESN history.
