Over six games, the Bruins went 6 for 22 on the power play (27.3 percent), a marked improvement over their regular-season PP. At the other end, the Bruins killed all 19 Buffalo power plays -- two significant reasons why the Sabres are setting up tee times while Boston awaits either Pittsburgh or Philadelphia.

"I think it was a good series," Claude Julien said. "They played well enough that it could have gone either way. I just thought if anything, I like the way our team competed coming from behind in a lot of those games. That was a big difference, being able to stick with it and scoring some goals in the third period."

* Tonight was the first night Milan Lucic skated with David Krejci and Miroslav Satan. The move worked, as Lucic recorded two assists, Krejci netted two goals and an assist, and Satan nailed the game-winner in the third. "He played great," Lucic said of Krejci. "He had a real good game today, that's for sure. He definitely needs to keep that up."
