No buyouts for Bruins
The first buyout period commences today and will remain open for two weeks. According to GM Peter Chiarelli, the Bruins will not buy out any existing contracts.
In 2010-11, the Bruins will clear the $1,383,333 they carried the last two years because of Glen Murray's buyout following the 2007-08 season. The Bruins will have one more year of Peter Schaefer's $766,667 buyout. They will receive a $41,667 credit on Patrick Eaves's buyout.
