With little cap space available for free agent signings today, the Bruins are continuing to explore trades. Although Philadelphia re-signed Michael Leighton to a two-year extension yesterday, the Flyers are still in the hunt for a No. 1 goalie.

The prize of the UFA market is Evgeni Nabokov. One left-field destination could be Detroit, according to an NHL source, with Tampa Bay also in the mix. The Sharks could be in pursuit of Marty Turco, the other prominent UFA goalie.

The Flyers could look to mid-tier netminders such as Martin Biron. But they could also explore the possibility of trading for Tim Thomas if their other options don't work out. If so, Brian Boucher could be part of the return to the Bruins.

Other Bruins in play are Marc Savard and Michael Ryder. Blake Wheeler is not being shopped.
