Savard passes exertion test
Marc Savard has passed his exertion test, one of his first checkpoints as he attempts to work his way back into playing shape, according to general manager Peter Chiarelli.
Savard has been cleared for skating, greater intensity bike workouts, and weight lifting. Savard will continue to ramp up his workouts. Savard has skated since the test.
However, Savard is still suffering from postconcussion syndrome symptoms, including depression. Savard is currently on long-term injured reserve, making him ineligible to play in the first 10 games of 2010-11.
