It's a final here at TD Garden. The Canadiens have beaten the Bruins, 3-1.
The Habs have won their 10th of the season and improve to 10-5-1. Boston is 8-4-1.
Bruins' goalie Tuukka Rask is still looking for his first victory of the season and dropped to 0-4-1. The Canadiens, who have struggled on the power play this season, scored twice on the man advantage.

Boston's lone goal was by captain Zdeno Chara.

10:30 - Montreal 3, Bruins 1 - Canadiens' forward Scott Gomez, who is playing in his 800th career game tonight, has given the Habs a two-goal lead with his second tally of the season. The Habs took advantage of a Bruins' turnover in the neutral zone and made them pay.

5:58 - Montreal's Tomas Plekanec is whistled off for slashing. The Bruins are on the power play.

4:40 - The Bruins generated a stirring comeback against the Penguins on Wednesday night. But after traveling home from Pittsburgh and playing their second game in as many nights, it will be interesting to see if the Bruins have enough gas in the tank to launch another comeback.

00:29 - Montreal 2, Boston 1 - The Canadiens took the lead on their second power-play tally of the night. It was the Habs' captain and former Boston College star Brian Gionta who beat Tuukka Rask. He took a pass from Michael Cammalleri and from one knee, batted it past the Bruins' netminder.

20:00 - Second intermission - The Canadiens will have a power play for 1 minute, 52 seconds to start the third period.

19:52 - Benoit Pouliot draws an interference penalty on Bruins' captain Zdeno Chara.

15:25 - It appeared the Canadiens had taken a 2-1 lead when Benoit Pouliot threw a backhand pass from the right circle over to Jeff Halpern, who was charging the net from the left side. But the puck went off the skate of Halpern and although he tried to get his stick on it, he failed and the distinct kicking motion of his left leg meant it was no goal. After a review it was determined as such and the teams are still tied.

14:20 - Bruins' captain Zdeno Chara throwing his considerable weight around in the Montreal zone. A lot of grit and energy and activity around the Habs' net.

9:42 - Shawn Thornton heads to the penalty box for Boston. Teams are skating four a side. Parade to the penalty box has slowed the flow of this one to a crawl.

8:16 - Montreal's Andrei Kostitsyn whistled off for elbowing, the teams are skating four apiece.

7:38 - Scrum in Carey Price's crease. Shawn Thornton and Gregory Campbell in the box for the Bruins for roughing, Andrei Markov for the Habs, giving Montreal a power play.

3:20 - The Bruins' power play started slowly but gained steam. At the end of Lapierre's penalty both Patrice Bergeron and Milan Lucic had gold opportunities but goalie Carey Price made strong saves.

1:18 - Montreal's Maxim Lapierre has been called for diving. The Bruins are on the power play.

20:00 - The Bruins and Canadians are knotted up at 1-1 heading into the intermission. The Habs got their goal on the power play, which is something that the team has struggled with all season.

18:22 - Strong penalty killing by Boston. The Canadiens failed to generate anything.

16:22 - Defenseman Adam McQuaid has been called for roughing. The Canadiens are on the power play.

15:49 - Boston 1, Montreal 1 - Bruins' captain Zdeno Chara has tied the game. Chara took a cross-ice pass from Milan Lucic, who did some strong work skating the puck from left to right behind the Montreal net. He sent the puck out to Chara in the left circle and he fired itpast Carey Price to tie the game. It was Chara's fourth tally of the season.

13:57 - Nice move by rookie Tyler Seguin down the slot in front of goalie Carey Price. It looked like a prime scoring chance but Montreal forward Mathieu Darche managed to get in the way of it.

10:40 - The Canadiens are 7-0-1 when scoring first. When the Bruins allow the first goal, they are 2-3-1.

8:41 - The Bruins managed just one shot on the power play.

6:41 - Roman Hamrlik has been sent to the box for roughing. The Bruins are on the power play.

5:19 - Montreal 1, Boston 0 - Seguin's penalty comes back to bite the Bruins. Just 19 seconds into the power play, defenseman P.K. Subban takes a pass from Michael Cammalleri and one-times a shot past Bruins' goalie Tuukka Rask to the short side. It is Subban's first NHL goal.

5:00 - Bruins' rookie Tyler Seguin has been whistled off for tripping, giving Montreal a power play.

4:10 - Mark Recchi has a nice opportunity when he skated down from the right point, through the right circle, and puts a shot on Montreal goalie Carey Price. Price snagged it with his glove.
