The Bruins have assigned Jordan Caron to Providence. The first-year pro had been a healthy scratch for the last two games.

Caron has three goals and four assists in 20 games for the big club. In his last game, Caron skated on the fourth line with Gregory Campbell and Shawn Thornton.

Providence hosts Portland on Friday at the Dunkin' Donuts Center.
