Bergeron named NHL's star of month

Bruins center Patrice Bergeron was named the NHL's First Star of the Month for January following a league-best 17-point performance.

Bergeron had eight goals and nine assists in January, highlighted by a hat trick in a 6-0 victory over the Senators Jan. 11. The Bruins ended the month in first place in the Northeast Division.

Coyotes defenseman Keith Yandle was the second star and Predators goalie Pekka Rinne was the third star.
