The Bruins recalled Jordan Caron from Providence. Caron will be available for tomorrow's practice at Ristuccia Arena.
Caron, the club's first-round pick in 2009, made the team out of training camp. Caron appeared in 20 games for the big club, scoring three goals four assists. Caron played both left and right wing and killed penalties.
Caron was assigned to Providence on Dec. 6. With Daniel Paille suspended for the next three games, Caron gives the Bruins 13 forwards for Wednesday's game against Montreal. If the coaching staff wants more beef on the fourth line, Caron could skate alongside Shawn Thornton and Gregory Campbell.
That would leave Zach Hamill and Tyler Seguin in contention for the third-line center job between Blake Wheeler and Michael Ryder. Seguin would be best served to be a healthy scratch. Seguin has played less than 10 minutes in four straight games.
