Defenseman Ryan Button, the team's third-round pick in 2009, has signed an amateur tryout agreement with Providence.

Button played for Prince Albert and Seattle of the WHL this season. Button scored five goals and 30 assists in 69 total games.

The 20-year-old Button has yet to sign an entry-level contract with the Bruins. Button will most likely start 2011-12 in Providence.
