Mark Recchi didn't practice Monday for a personal reason, according to Claude Julien. Recchi will be available for Tuesday night's game against Montreal. Assuming Recchi is back on the second line, either Tyler Seguin or Daniel Paille will be a healthy scratch against the Canadiens.

* The Bruins once believed that Andrew Ference (lower body) might be able to skate today. Ference didn't skate, but Julien said the defenseman remains day-to-day. Ference could be on the ice Tuesday or Wednesday. Neither Ference nor Steven Kampfer (concussion) will travel to Montreal.

* Condolences to Patrice Bergeron. His grandmother's passing was the reason for his absence Saturday.
