Zdeno Chara, hospitalized yesterday because of dehydration, was not present at today's morning skate. The Bruins are assuming that Chara will play tonight in Game 2.

"Unless our medical staff tells me he can't go, he's in tonight," said Claude Julien.

The Boston Herald reported the hospital visit.

Chara logged 25:06 of ice time in Game 1. Chara practiced yesterday at Ristuccia Arena.

"Knowing him, I'd be surprised if he wouldn't be in the lineup," Patrice Bergeron said.

If Chara is unable to play, Shane Hnidy would dress for the first time in the series. Hnidy was a healthy scratch in Game 1. Hnidy participated in an optional morning skate.

"That's why I'm here," Hnidy said of signing with the Bruins. "You've got to have that kind of mindset. Every day, regardless of the situation, you're coming in here preparing to play."
