Good morning from TD Garden, where the Bruins will host Blake Wheeler, Mark Stuart, and the Thrashers this afternoon. With Tim Thomas getting the start on Thursday, expect Tuukka Rask to get the nod this afternoon.

Shane Hnidy will make his season debut. Hnidy has missed the entire year following shoulder surgery.

Shawn Thornton will not play as he continues to heal. Also out is Steven Kampfer. No word yet on the other defenseman who will sit today. Claude Julien said yesterday that Zdeno Chara will play today. Johnny Boychuk is back in after being rested on Thursday. We'll guess that Adam McQuaid gets a breather.

Puck drop: 1 p.m.
