The Bruins gathered at TD Garden before leaving for their flight across the border. The Bruins didn't practice.

"We're in trouble right now," said Milan Lucic. "We need to find a way to rally and get our heads around it. Everyone needs to step up and play the way we know we can."

If the Bruins can find anything encouraging from their first two losses, it's that the giveaways -- five of them, leading to all five Montreal goals -- were so uncharacteristic that they should be easy to address. Simply, don't make them anymore.

* Zdeno Chara is traveling with the team to Montreal. Julien declined to address whether Chara will be available for tomorrow.

* When asked about lineup changes, Julien stole Peter Laviolette's line from yesterday. Like Laviolette, Julien said he will not discuss goalies, lineups, or injuries. We imagine all coaches will be ripping off that line in short order. Laviolette deserves royalties.
