TAMPA -- Despite losing only moments prior, the Bruins expressed confidence in winning the Eastern Conference finals against the Tampa Bay Lightning thanks to their home-ice advantage.

"We've been in this situation before," Bruins goalie Tim Thomas said. "We were up 3-2 against Montreal on the road and couldn't close it out, so we went back home in Game 7 and got the job done.

"We learned again tonight that they're not giving us anything," Thomas continued. "Not that we were looking for them to give us anything, but that's the way it goes. It's the best-of-seven series for a reason. If it was a best-of-five series we would have won this already."

Coach Claude Julien agreed.

Said Julien: "You play 82 games and a lot of times people say: What do you play those 82 games for? And I think that's one of the key things that if you can get home ice advantage this time of year, you need to take advantage of it. And we did against Montreal and now we need to do the same thing against Tampa."
