It's guaranteed that Zdeno Chara and Dennis Seidenberg will be matched against Vancouver's top line of Daniel Sedin, Henrik Sedin, and Alex Burrows. Claude Julien hinted that Patrice Bergeron's line will also be deployed against the twins.

Julien issued the following answer when asked about Bergeron possibly battling against Ryan Kesler, his mirror image.

"I have feeling that Kesler is not going to necessarily be looking at Bergeron much, unless it's those big faceoffs at key times," Julien said. "Somehow I have the feeling that both coaches will probably look for something else."

In turn, Kesler and linemates Christopher Higgins and Mason Raymond will most likely skate against Boston's No. 1 line of Milan Lucic, David Krejci, and Nathan Horton. Alain Vigneault could also send out Dan Hamhuis and Kevin Bieksa, his ace shutdown pair, against Krejci's line.

The matchups could look this:

Brad Marchand-Patrice Bergeron-Mark Recchi/Rich Peverley
Zdeno Chara-Dennis Seidenberg

vs.

Daniel Sedin-Henrik Sedin-Alex Burrows
Alex Edler-Sami Salo

Which would then lead to this:

Milan Lucic-David Krejci-Nathan Horton
Andrew Ference-Johnny Boychuk

vs.

Christopher Higgins-Ryan Kesler-Mason Raymond
Dan Hamhuis-Kevin Bieksa
