The Stanley Cup was in New York this morning.

Fans were held back by barricades as Bruins leaders Tim Thomas, Zdeno Chara and Patrice Bergeron appeared on NBC's Today Show this morning with the Stanley Cup.

Chara described raising the Cup on the ice after the Game 7 win as "amazing" and "something I will never forget."

On winning the Stanley Cup, Thomas added, "For all of us hockey players it's a life-long dream. When we're little kids playing in the driveway, or playing in the street, standing here with this Cup is what we dream about.

"Winning the Conn Smythe is a great honor and something I'll look back on and be proud of for my whole life, but the main goal is right there (pointing at the Cup)."
